Anne-Laure Vandeputte graduated as an actor from the Conservatorium van Antwerp in 2016. She immediately began working with notable theater companies and directors such as SKaGeN (Closer), de Roovers (Innocence), FC Bergman (JR), Lies Pauwels (Truth or Dare, Britney or Goofy, Nacht und Nebel, Jesus Christ or Superstar), and Zuidpool (War of the Beasts and the Animals). From 2020 to 2023, she toured with Bruegel by Lisaboa Houbrechts, playing the leading role of Dulle Griet. Anne-Laure has received critical acclaim for her performances in JR and Bruegel.
On screen, Anne-Laure starred in shows such as Bathroom Stories, Grenslanders, De Bende van Jan de Lichte, and Red Light. She has also appeared in films including F•ck My Life, Klette, Copain, and All of Us.
In addition to her acting career, Anne-Laure is an active creator. While studying at the conservatory, she created the performances I Am Real Because I Have Ribs, Primordial Whore, and Gif. Her first performance, Millennialism, premiered at Monty Kultuurfaktorij in Antwerp. In 2021, she co-created a performance in Berlin with The Berlin Stripper Collective, which premiered at Theater am Kurfürstendamm. Since 2021, Anne-Laure has been working on My Body as a Commodity, an artistic research project focused on professionally using your body without losing ownership of it, and reclaiming ownership where it has been lost. This research will culminate in a performance set to premiere in 2024.
