
Mona Mina Leon studied Drama at RITCS in Brussels, graduating in 2018. During her studies, she completed an internship at HNT, where she performed in Ondine. After graduation, she was selected for the graduate position at The Red Stitch Theatre Ensemble in Melbourne, where she spent two years and appeared in Pomona, directed by Gary Abrahams — a production nominated for the Green Room Awards.
Upon returning to Belgium, Mona performed in several plays for Montignards#5, including Retour and So You Think You Can.
On screen, she made her debut in Stacey and the Alien (2016) directed by Nelson Polfliet, followed by Étangs Noirs (2018) directed by Time De Keyser and Piet Dumoulin. In 2023, she gained widespread recognition for her lead role as Vicky Verhellen in the acclaimed series 1985, selected for Canneseries 2022 and the Berlinale Series Market.
In 2025, Mona starred in the lead role of Yasmine De Laet in the series Holy Sh!t! and appears in the upcoming series Drift (2025).
