Simone Giel

Simone Giel is a Dutch actress with a dynamic background in theatre, film, and television. Her journey in the performing arts began at the age of four with classical ballet, eventually expanding into musical theatre and voice-over work for Disney during her teenage years.

In 2015, Simone was accepted into the prestigious Acting program at the Amsterdam Academy of Theatre and Dance (Amsterdamse Toneelschool), following in the footsteps of renowned alumni such as Carice van Houten. She graduated in 2019 and made her screen debut in The Promise of Pisa (De Belofte van Pisa), directed by Norbert ter Hall.

Simone quickly gained recognition with a lead role in the Netflix hit Misfit (2021), and continued her ascent with her first international guest role in Van der Valk (2023). In 2024, she portrayed a key character in the WWII miniseries De Joodse Raad, acting alongside acclaimed talents like Pierre Bokma and Malou Gorter. That same year, she was selected by leading European casting directors Nina Haun, Pauline Hansson, and Arwa Salmanova for the prestigious International Screen Acting Workshop at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

In 2025, Simone appeared in the international drama Safe Harbor, created by Mark Williams (Ozark), sharing the screen with Alfie Allen and Jack Gleeson.
